Last weekend, the team at WhatsBest.com.au was privileged to be invited with a media pass from the organisers at the Australian Motoring Festival 2015. Our visit simply opened a massive gate into the rich and interesting Australian Motoring history and must say it was superb! The festival, a joint initiative between the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) and the RACV, showcased a breathtaking collection of automobiles from the future, present and way back in the past.
The best part of the motoring festival was that there were a lot of opportunities for Auto fans to get close, interact and also get involved with these cars. The four-day action packed event amidst the Cricket world cup finals and the international flower and garden show was a huge success and we witnessed huge attendance! Yeah, auto enthusiasts couldn’t just be anywhere else! The event witnessed 25,000 Auto fans through the gates and the well-organised event at the massive Melbourne Showgrounds got a BIG tick from the fans!
The Favourites from the Festival were..
Even though the whole festival was fantastic, there were few hot spots! The best of them were the Ferrari Pavillion (See the collection of photographs taken by our team). The Ferrari pavillion had merchandise shops, driving consoles for kids, photography podium for fans to take photos and of course, the 30 Million dollar worth supercar showcase. Another highlight was the 4WD driving track that offered drives for more than 1000 visitors on the tomcar and was exciting to watch and be in. The new and modern cars showcase was huge, which allowed visitors to interact with all the popular car models and to get closer than they would at a busy showroom. The Volvo and Mercedes had driving tracks to showcase their models on sale and even offer test drives. Now, our personal favorite was the Vintage car collection that every auto enthusiast would dream to see atleast once in their lifetime. This was an awesome collection and we can’t express how good it was unless you see it for yourselves! To summarise, it was awesome! A must go if you love cars, automobiles and their history!
This part of the Motoring Festival showcased both new and latest automobiles for all consumer price ranges. The huge car pavillion showcased almost all the auto brands and models currently on the road. To be able to view all these dream cars at one single location and getting to know more about the features, technical details is certainly convenient. The visitors get to view the outside, interiors and check out the features all by themselves.

Vintage Cars & Vintage Super Cars
You never get such an opportunity to view so much so many vintage cars at one place telling the story of our rich auto heritage. It is certainly a pleasant walk through the lanes of Automobile history and the collection was one of its kind. The jaw dropping collection of cars also included local busses, vintage taxis, old motorbikes, vintage sports cars and all of them in top condition!
