Recently we discovered this interesting, unique and super awesome cafe in Melbourne, Victoria – The Cat Cafe. Cat Cafe Melbourne is Australia’s first cat cafe, and conveniently located next to the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne’s CBD. We offer a unique experience for our customers, never previously seen in Australia. For a minimal cost for $10 per person, you have an hour to spend playing, petting and socialising with 14 lovely cats, across four rooms decked out with cat climbing trees, scratchers, toys and more.
All the cats were carefully selected for their unique personalities to ensure they would fit in well with other cats and in a cafe environment. While inside with the cats customers can sit back and relax with a coffee and snack brought to them by our cat-loving staff.
Cat Cafes have become increasingly popular after beginning almost 20 years ago in Taiwan. They have been a huge tourist attraction in Japan, which has lead them to open throughout Europe, the UK, Australia, and more recently America, Canada, and New Zealand. They offer a great retreat from the bustle of CBD’s, as well as a place to interact with furry friends for those that cannot have a cat of their own if they are renting or traveling.
