June & July (every Saturday): Holy smokes Batman! Coburg is hosting the Batman Night Market every Saturday through June and July. Featuring a great line-up of food trucks, arts and crafts stalls and live performers – it seriously rivals the kind of action we’re familiar to at the Queen Victoria Night Market. Food trucks and vendors change each week, but expect a variety of Melbourne’s finest, from South American barbecue, Greek doughnuts, Korean fried chicken to Turkish gozleme.
Each week, buskers and DJs are adding a killer soundtrack to your market visit, while artists and designers are showcasing their locally-made wares. Thirsty? The Public Bar is open from 4-9pm so you can grab a bevvy to go with your street food dishes.
Located right next to Batman train station on the Gaffney Street and Sydney Road intersection, getting to the market is easy, so if you’ve never thought of venturing this far up north, check out the next Batman Night Market.
