Last week, The Good Food & Wine Show Melbourne was featured in our What’s on in Melbourne section and today finally our media team made it to the event. The Good Food & Wine Show was staged at the iconic Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center, Melbourne. As expected the event was buzzing with food and wine lovers from all over Melbourne, especially it being a long weekend. The event showcased official merchandise stalls, stalls from popular & new food and wine producers across Australia and much more. Below are some key highlights & photographs from the day.
Food, Wine and Produce Stalls
The major attraction at the Good Food & Wine Show were the huge number of food and beverage stalls that were open to public to taste, interact and purchase products that were either new or unique. Several authentic local products with culinary difference were on display by small food business owners at the show. There were food bookstalls, small food processing utilities, some unique and new blends of wine, cider and liquor to try out for visitors.
Time with Celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott
Another highlight of the Good Food & Wine Show, Melbourne this year was the presence of the luminous and energetic British Celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott. The 58 year author of 12 popular books and a buzzing TV presence from the 90s was undoubtedly the center of attraction. People were busy getting autographs signed, photos taken and the gregarious Harriott made sure he had a quick chat or a wave to everyone who came to meet him!
Learning to choose, love & Enjoy Wine n Beer..
The Dan Murphy’s Beer & Cider Hall and Cellar Door included with the general entry to the event gave visitors a chance to learn how to taste different blends of wine and choose the best. Also the Cider Hall gave a taste of few different unique brews of beer which together was an awesome experience. Furthermore, the Laucke Creative & Good food Theater was quite popular on the day for some live cooking tips for dishes that couple taste and ease!
